Glasgow Rangers boss Mark Warburton has already brought eight new players to Ibrox this summer.

Mark Warburton has admitted that Rangers supporters should not expect any players to arrive on loan this summer, the Daily Record reports.
The Gers boss’ use of the loan market during his first season at Ibrox played an important role in helping the side earn promotion to the Scottish Premiership, with Dominic Ball and Gedion Zelalem both becoming key members of the team, while Nathan Oduwa and Billy King also contributed during their temporary spells with the club.

However, with eight permanent signings under his belt this time around, Warburton suggested that he has no need to consider targeting loan moves, unless something special comes along.
“The problem with a loan is ensuring they get enough pitch time. If we are going to take players from top Premier League clubs, they must play football,” he told the Record.
“They need to play at least one in every three or be involved in two out of three. If we don’t do that, then we have a problem.
“We now have options in key areas. If we see an outstanding loanee we will move for him, but he must be better than what we have got.”
When the former Brentford boss arrived at the Light Blues just over a year ago, it made sense for him to use the loan market to bolster his squad as he may have had less time to do the amount of scouting he would have preferred to do on a potential target that they would have hoped to have signed on a permanent deal.
However, with the club wrapping up the second tier title so early last season, he has had more than enough time to properly assess potential targets this time around, and it has shown with eight new faces through the door already.
Signing players on a permanent basis should help Rangers in their quest to get back to the top of the division, as Warburton will be able to continue working with his team safe in the knowledge that none of his key men are guaranteed to be leaving in the near future.
