Rangers boss Mark Warburton says he noticed Barrie McKay’s quality within his first half an hour at Ibrox, as seen on the club’s official YouTube channel.
The Gers beat Inverness 1-0 on Friday evening, with veteran striker Kenny Miller grabbing the only goal of the game for Warburton’s men.

It’s been a positive start to October for Warburton with two victories, and he’ll be particularly pleased to have picked up a win immediately after the international break.
Rangers didn’t have many players away on international duty, but Barrie McKay was part of the Scotland squad for games against Lithuania and Slovakia, though he didn’t appear in either game.

The Gers winger, 21, enjoyed a superb campaign last season with nine goals to his name, and has shown flashes of his quality this term even though he’s only scored once in 15 games this season.
One of Rangers’ top talents and a youngster Scotland can have some optimism about, McKay appears to have a big future at Ibrox – and he’s been praised by his manager Mark Warburton.
Speaking before Friday’s game against Inverness, Warburton – as seen on Rangers’ official YouTube channel – stated that he saw how good McKay is within half an hour of his first day as manager at Ibrox.

Warburton noted that McKay is fast, strong and technically gifted, and just needed a chance to impress having previously struggled with the club.
“We saw it with Barrie McKay within half an hour of the very first day,” said Warburton. “There was no doubt about Barrie McKay. Technically gifted, quick, rapid, strong…he was 20 at the time and had all the ability in the world. He just needed to be given a chance to be the best he can be,” he added.
