Mark Viduka has told the Football Show on Sky Sports on Tuesday morning that Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been ‘unbelievable’ this season.
The Elland Road hero stated that Bamford, 27, has ‘stepped up to the plate’ for Leeds this season.
If anyone knows or understands the pressure of wearing that Leeds number nine shirt then it’s one of the Premier League’s underrated stars in Viduka.
The former Australia international shared how it’s a ‘tradition’ for Leeds fans to see ‘good players’ and ‘good football’, as he praised Bamford.
“It’s a huge tradition at the club,” said Viduka. “It’s a tradition of watching good players and good football. And I think they are very demanding.
“Bamford has been unbelievable this season with the way he has stepped up to the plate. That’s what it is. Nobody knew what would happen going from the Championship and all that. It’s very difficult.”

It’s 14 Premier League goals for Bamford this season, and when the Leeds supporters are allowed back at Elland Road, then he will get the recognition that he deserves for his performances.
Bamford may not have been credited for his performances this season with an England call, and that has annoyed Leeds fans, but he is seemingly a step away from that trip to St George’s Park.
Plus, if he continues to put the ball in the back of the net before this COVID-hit season draws to a close then anything can happen in terms of him earning that Euros spot.
