Swansea City and Sunderland will face each other in the Premier League this weekend.

Former Chelsea and Leicester City goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer predicted on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (broadcast from 6am, December 7, 2016) that Sunderland will win against Swansea City this weekend.

Sunderland will take on fellow relegation candidates Swansea away from home at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Schwarzer has backed the Black Cats to pick up all three points from the encounter.

“I fancy Sunderland,” said the former Australia international goalkeeper on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (broadcast from 6am, December 7, 2016) when asked for his prediction of the match between Swansea and Sunderland.

“I think Sunderland are just in that run now. They have hit form, they have obviously, something’s clicked, David Moyes’s hard work is paying off, you know, they are all fighting for the same cause and putting the performances on the pitch most importantly.”

Swansea are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just nine points from 14 matches.

The Swans are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.

The Welsh outfit will head into the match against Sunderland on the back of a 5-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, Sunderland currently find themselves third from bottom in the league table with only 11 points from 14 matches.

The Black Cats are just a point behind 17th-placed West Ham United and seem to be in decent form.

David Moyes’s side have won three of their last four Premier League matches, including a 2-1 victory over defending English champions Leicester City at the Stadium of Light last weekend.
