Mark Noble has suggested to the London Evening Standard that he is hopeful he will be back playing for West Ham United against Everton on Sunday.

Noble has had a back problem in recent weeks, which has meant he has had to visit specialists to get to the bottom of the injury.

But the experienced midfielder appears to be on the mend now, and wants to feature for Manuel Pellegrini’s side at the weekend.

“As for me, I’ve been all over London seeing specialists about the back problem I’ve had,” Noble said. “They’ve given me the all-clear to train and play and hopefully I’ll be back against Everton.”

Noble’s return to fitness can only be seen as a positive for West Ham, as Jack Wilshere could be out with injury.

Mark Noble and Aaron Cresswell have a laugh during a training session as part of the West Ham Pre-Season Tour to Switzerland on July 3, 2018 in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.

With Wilshere out, Noble could well partner Carlos Sanchez in the heart of Pellegrini’s team.

West Ham go into the match with Everton badly needing a win, as their form this season has been terrible.

The Hammers are still without a point, and they sit rock bottom of the Premier League table as things stand.
