The West Ham United captain scored his second goal of the season at the weekend.

Hammers skipper Mark Noble spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and shared what the club’s masseur told him before he and his teammates took to the field to take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
West Ham were magnificent from the very first whistle at the John Smith’s Stadium, and eventually ran out as comfortable 4-1 winners – a result that lifted them up to 11th in the Premier League table.

Noble himself performed admirably, and scored the Hammers’ first goal, setting his side on their way to a fabulous away victory.
The 30-year-old West Ham ace spoke to reporters after the game, and shared the incredible message given to him by the club’s masseur before he took to the field of play at the weekend, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“I don’t score that many, so it’s nice to get one – especially as it was a goal in open play and not a penalty. I was getting some treatment before the game and for the first time in two-and-a-half years Craig our masseur said to me ‘I think you’re going to score in open play today’. He’s never said that before, so I’m kind of hoping he says it next week as well! When I do get a goal it’s enjoyable, especially in front of our fans for the team you support.”
Noble has received his fair share of criticism from fans and pundits alike this season, but on Saturday, he proved that he still has plenty left to offer at the very highest level.
Next up for the Hammers is their FA Cup third round replay against Shrewsbury Town at the London Stadium tomorrow night, before they face crucial Premier League games at home against Bournemouth and Crystal Palace respectively.
