West Ham United were brushed aside easily by Burnley on Saturday.
West Ham skipper Mark Noble sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and delivered an honest and open account of what he told his teammates in the aftermath of the horror show at home to Burnley at the London Stadium on Saturday.
The Hammers were nothing short of atrocious against Sean Dyche’s stubborn Clarets side, and they currently sit precariously in 16th spot in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the drop zone.
David Moyes earned many plaudits for the manner in which he galvanised the east London outfit, following his appointment as manager of the club back in November, but the honeymoon period is now well and truly over for the Scot.
West Ham have won just once since January 13th, and with some incredibly tough fixtures still to be played, these must be worrying times for Hammers fans.
Noble, 30, sat down for an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, and shared the message he gave his teammates after Saturday’s heavy home defeat:
“To be honest, I said after the game, I see that we have two options – either we crumble and fold and give up or we come together, train hard and I’m hoping that the anger that the fans showed at the weekend is out now and they’ll get behind us for the final five home games.”
Next up for the Hammers is a home game against Southampton on March 31st, and nothing less than a win will do, with games against Arsenal, Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs still to come.
