West Ham United have endured a tough campaign this season.

Mark Noble of West Ham United looks on during a Pre Season Friendly between Manchester City and West Ham United at the Laugardalsvollur stadium on August 4, 2017 in Reykjavik, Iceland.

West Ham skipper Mark Noble spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and shared what he is expecting from West Ham fans for their huge clash with Manchester City at the London Stadium today.

The Hammers are still not mathematically safe from relegation this season, and currently sit in 15th position in the Premier League table, after enduring what has been a difficult campaign.

There have been bright sparks throughout the season, but inconsistency has undermined their hopes of finishing inside the top 10, and the last game they would have wanted this weekend is a clash with the Premier League champions.

Noble spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and underlined how important it will be for the West Ham fans to play their part at the London Stadium today:

“City have got a squad full of top-class players and, if they play their best, it’s very difficult for anyone to stop them. But, if we play our best, and they have a slight off-day, we’ve got a really good chance to get something. I’m expecting the supporters to make quite an atmosphere inside the stadium today, because we’re going to need their support too.”

The Hammers can climb up to 12th in the Premier League table with a win over the Citizens today, as unlikely as that may seem, and three points would surely secure their Premier League status for another season.

The West Ham faithful will certainly have to be at their vociferous best, however, if their team are to have any chance whatsoever of toppling Pep Guardiola’s magnificent team.
