Mark Noble shares something that West Ham players were dreading

West Ham United have emerged unscathed from a tough set of fixtures in the Premier League.

Hammers ace Mark Noble spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s hard-fought draw with Arsenal last night, and shared how he and his teammates were dreading the run of fixtures starting with their trip to Manchester City 11 days ago, as quoted by the club’s official website.

West Ham are still deep in the mire, entrenched in a relegation battle, but their win over Chelsea at the weekend, and their draw with the Gunners last night, has given the players and fans real hope that this season might just be a successful one after all.

David Moyes’ appointment as manager last month was hardly greeted with much optimism from the Hammers faithful, but the Scot deserves great credit for at least bringing a certain level of organisation and discipline to West Ham’s starting XI.

Noble, 30, addressed the media after last night’s draw with Arsenal, and admitted how his side were dreading the last three fixtures, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“When you come out the game at Everton when we lost 4-0 and you go to Man City and then Chelsea and Arsenal after, to be honest, you dread it in the position you’re in. The performance against Man City – you go there dreading to play at the Etihad but to get two clean sheets since against Arsenal and Chelsea is great. You see what Chelsea did to Huddersfield the other night. They’re two massive games for us.”

Next up for Noble an co is a trip to the BET 365 Stadium to take on Stoke City on Saturday, and a win for West Ham really could signal the beginning of their resurgence, and subsequent climb up the table.
