Speaking to West Ham’s official club website, Mark Noble has been discussing his two Hammers teammates Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal.
The Czech pair have been two of the Hammers’ best players over the past 12 months, putting in consistently solid performances as the London club clinched a Europa League qualification spot last term.
Noble has been full of praise for the pair, comparing them both to Craig Dawson.

Noble was speaking about Soucek and Coufal.
“Obviously you’ve got the two Czech boys who have come in and been solid, good teammates and great for the club,” Noble said.
“They’re very similar to someone like Craig Dawson, who comes in, knows his job, and does it very well and scored some fantastic goals and kept some great clean sheets for us last year.
“If we can add a little bit more of that for next season then I’m pretty sure we’ll be fine. It’s a really proud moment for me because, as I say, leaving at the end of next season, as a player you want to leave on a high note, and I believe that with the players we’ve got here we can do that.”
The Moyes way
There’s a reason Dawson, Soucek and Coufal have all been so brilliant for West Ham, and that’s because they’re perfect for David Moyes.
The West Ham boss doesn’t ask for much from his players, if you know your role and do your own job well you the team will perform.
Soucek, Dawson and Coufal are three great examples of this.
They’re not flashy players, they don’t do complicated things, but you can rely on them to put in the hard yards and do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
It’s players like this that have made West Ham one of the top clubs in England over the past 12 months.
