West Ham United earned a valuable three points against Newcastle United yesterday.

West Ham skipper Mark Noble spoke to reporters after his side’s impressive 2-0 win over Newcastle United yesterday, and took time to praise Issa Diop and Angelo Ogbonna, labelling the defensive duo as ‘fantastic’, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Hammers put in a superb all-around display against the Magpies, and ended up as deserving 2-0 winners.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men now sit in ninth spot in the Premier League table, four points adrift of seventh placed Wolverhampton Wanderers, and they have every chance of qualifying for the Europa League next season.
Despite looking good in the final third yesterday, West Ham were particularly impressive defensively, with both Diop and Ogbonna putting up fierce resistance to anything that Newcastle threw at them.
And Noble took time to praise the Hammers pair, when speaking to reporters after the game, highlighting the key role that they played in his side’s win, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“We dug in and scored a couple of really good goals. Angelo and Issa were fantastic and made a couple of really good blocks.”
West Ham have two more games before the international break – Cardiff City away and Huddersfield Town at home, and if Diop and Ogbonna continue their fine form, Pellegrini’s side have every chance of taking six points from those outings.
