Mark Noble has told The Daily Mail that he is “sad” that Jesse Lingard has not been able to experience the West Ham United fans.
The West Ham midfielder has said that Lingard, signed on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window, would have loved to experience the fans in a packed London Stadium.
The 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has been stunning during his loan spell at West Ham.
The England international attacker has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 12 Premier League games for the Hammers.
Noble told The Daily Mail: “I’m sad Jesse hasn’t witnessed West Ham fans. You know what it’s like when they love someone. It’s madness. They idolise him, like they’re a God.”
Lingard was struggling for playing time in the first half of the season at United, but the attacker is flourishing at West Ham.
The Hammers are in the running for the Champions League places in the Premier League table, and part of that is due to the form of Lingard.

If the Hammers qualify for the Champions League next season, then the London would have the finances to fund a permanent move for Lingard.
Moreover, the England international himself would be tempted to extend his stay at London Stadium, especially as he is doing so well under manager David Moyes.
