West Ham’s Mark Noble celebrates after the match
Mark Noble has told West Ham’s official website that he believes they have made three astute signings so far this summer.
The club have brought three new faces in so far, with Havard Nordtveit, Sofiane Feghouli and Gokhan Tore all arriving as senior players.
All three have been relatively low-key moves, with two arriving on free transfers and the other a loan deal.
Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Havard Nordtveit reacts
That is something of an oddity this summer, with most transfers in the Premier League so far having been big money ones.
Noble though, believes that the Hammers have managed to make three very astute signings with the work they have done.
“We’ve got three very astute signings in Havard, Sofiane and Gokhan,” he told the club’s official website.
“The team spirit was great last season and that is always our main aim, to keep that spirit high. We are excited and from what we can see, everybody else is too.”

It now remains to be seen if West Ham continue to be astute with the rest of their transfer business this summer.
They have faced frustration in the rest of their transfer dealings; with their attempts to secure the striker they want proving to be difficult to say the least.
That is likely to continue in a transfer window of inflated prices, and perhaps they would be best seeking out more astute signings like the ones they have managed already.
