West Ham United have been tentatively linked with Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe in recent times.

There have been whispers that Defoe could make a return to West Ham in January.
And Noble believes that Defoe is such a clinical finisher that he should have played for a title winning side over the course of his career.
“There have been some stories recently about Jermain Defoewanting to come back to West Ham to end his career here,” he said.
“I don’t know if that is true but the one thing I’ve always felt about him is that he should have played for a title-winning club in his career.
“His scoring record anyway is phenomenal, but if he had played for one of those clubs, it would have gone through the roof.”

Defoe is still fondly remember by West Ham fans for his first stint at the club.
The England international is now in the twilight of his career, but he could still provide an option for West Ham up top.
Defoe, who is on a £65,000-a-week contract (The Sun), is currently struggling to break into Bournemouth’s side, and may need a move away to get more game time.
If Defoe was to arrive at West Ham he would be in competition with the likes of Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez for a first-team place.
