West Ham United captain Mark Noble has told the club’s official website that he is confident Jonathan Calleri will score goals for the club.
The striker is one of a host of new faces to arrive at the London Stadium this summer, signing a season-long loan deal from Deportivo Maldonado.
He arrives with a good goalscoring record behind him, finishing as the top scorer in the Copa Libertadores while on loan with Sao Paolo earlier this year.

Last week saw him miss a gilt edged chance at the end of the 1-0 win over Bournemouth, but Noble says he is sure the Argentine will score goals.
“I have watched YouTube videos of him scoring goals and he is a good finisher,” he told the club’s official website.
“I have also seen that in training. Coming to a new country it would have been nice for him to get off the mark in the Premier League but I am pretty sure he will score goals for us.”

West Ham will certainly be keen to see Calleri scoring regular goals across this season having needed a striker for several years.
The striker department is an area they are particularly short of quality in, a problem that has been exacerbated by the recent injuries to Andre Ayew and Andy Carroll.
Finding a regular goalscorer could prove the difference for them and they will be hoping that Calleri proves to be that man for them.
