Bristol City defender Mark Little has spoken highly of Leeds United summer signing Luke Ayling on the club’s official website.

Ayling, who can play as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, joined Leeds from City in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old was on the books of City from the summer of 2014 until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Little, who is 28 years of age and plays as a right-back, has said that Ayling had a great time with the Robins.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Peterborough United defender is looking forward to playing against the Leeds man this evening.

City and Leeds will face each other in the Championship at the Ashton Gate Stadium.

“He’s a great guy and we’ve kept in touch,” Little told City’s official website about Ayling. “It would take a fickle person not to recognise the great time he had at the club.”

“It will be good to see him again,” added Little.

Ayling has featured in eight Championship matches for Leeds so far this season, creating six chances in the process.

Garry Monk’s side are 12th in the Championship table at the moment with 13 points from nine matches, just three points behind Birmingham City, who are current sixth in the standings and occupy the final playoff spot.
