The Spanish defender irked the Liverpool legend.
Liverpool are out of the FA Cup after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Wolves at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp made several changes to his team for the game after a busy week which saw Liverpool also exit the League Cup against Southampton.
Wolves put in a brilliant counter-attacking display to win the game, despite Liverpool dominating territory – with one player particularly standing out.

Helder Costa was brilliant for the Championship side, setting up both goals and also going on a majestic solo run that saw him nearly score one of the great FA Cup goals.
But it did not warrant congratulations from one of the Liverpool players. Alberto Moreno patted him on the back in a laudatory fashion and it did not impress former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson.
Speaking as part of BBC Radio 5 Live’s commentary he had this to say about Moreno and the Liverpool team in general:
“Moreno has just gone and slapped Costa on the back well done. What on earth is going on?
“You’re getting beaten at home by a Championship team! Get a life!
“This Liverpool team is too nice.”
Mark Lawrenson
The Spanish left-back has hardly won many fans since joining Liverpool, with his tepid performances not earning him plaudits.
But Liverpool as a whole do perhaps need to toughen up if they are to keep up with the likes of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur in the title race.
