Former Newcastle United winger Andros Townsend helped Crystal Palace beat Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Mark Lawrenson has hit out at Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend for not celebrating during his side’s 2-0 FA Cup win against Tottenham over the weekend.
The 27-year-old was playing against his former club and scored from the penalty spot to knock Mauricio Pochetino’s side out of their second domestic competition in a matter of days.
Despite Palace going 2-0 up at the time – Kieran Trippier would go on to miss a penalty moments later – he decided not to celebrate the goal which irritated BBC pundit Lawrenson, who pointed out that he has been at Newcastle since he left Spurs.
“What’s all that about!?” Lawrenson asked on BBC One’s MOTD programme on 27/01/2019. “He’s just scored a goal. Enjoy it! He has been to Newcastle in between, hasn’t he?!”
Just days before, Pochettino’s side bowed out of the Carabao Cup after they lost their semi-final encounter on penalties against Chelsea.
Nonetheless, Versatile winger Townsend came through the ranks at Tottenham breaking into the first team and making 93 appearances for the London club.
In January 2016, prior to Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship, he opted to leave White Hart Lane and move to the northeast in a £12 million deal.
He only made 13 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring four goals and supplying two assists and then made the switch to Palace six months later.
Over the course of this season, he has been a regular member of Roy Hodgson’s side, playing 28 games in all competitions, scoring seven goals and supplying his teammates with two assists, according to transfermarkt.
