Mark Lawrenson is backing Arsenal to beat West Ham 2-0 this evening.
Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Arsenal will beat West Ham United 2-0 at the London Stadium this evening.
West Ham are still looking for a strong run of results at their new home, as they’ve claimed just two home wins in the Premier League this season.
Slaven Bilic’s men picked up a decent point away at Manchester United last weekend, but lost 4-1 to the Red Devils in the EFL Cup in midweek, with Bilic now hoping that his squad rotation has left his top players fit for this evening’s clash.

Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio look set to miss out though, and Bilic will be hoping to spring something of a shock on Arsenal in this evening’s London derby.
The Gunners have lost just once in the Premier League this season, but have won just two of their last five league games having beaten Bournemouth 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium last weekend.
Arsenal players celebrate
Arsene Wenger’s men lost 2-0 at home to Southampton in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening, and will be looking to bounce back with a victory against West Ham this evening.
Ahead of the game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has been discussing the two teams, and told BBC Sport that he thinks that Arsenal will run out 2-0 winners at the London Stadium.
Lawrenson criticised Arsene Wenger’s squad rotation for the midweek EFL Cup tie, but thinks that the Gunners have enough to pick up all three points against their London rivals this evening.

“Arsenal’s 19-game unbeaten run ended on Wednesday when they went out of the EFL Cup to Southampton,” said Lawrenson. “The Gunners had made a stack of changes for that tie, which I don’t understand – why not rest players in the Champions League next week instead, because they are already through to the last 16 in that competition.”
“West Ham also went out of the EFL Cup this week against Manchester United, a few days after picking up a point at Old Trafford in the league. I don’t see the Hammers getting anything from this game, though. Arsenal have not been at their best in recent weeks but they have got enough about them to find a way to collect three points,” he added.
