Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks Crystal Palace and West Ham United will draw 1-1 at Selhurst Park this evening.

Hosts Palace head into the game having dropped just four points in their last five games, notching three wins and two draws as the pressure has eased on manager Alan Pardew.

With striker Christian Benteke thriving and scoring goals whilst the likes of Wilfried Zaha and Andros Townsend form a dangerous supply line, Palace’s attack is formidable right now – and they will hope to continue that against a porous West Ham side.

Slaven Bilic’s men have endured a nightmare start to the season, winning just one of their first seven Premier League games, with only four points picked up so far.

Dimitri Payet bailed his side out with a stunning solo goal against Middlesbrough two weeks ago to bag a 1-1 draw, but West Ham have so many issues right now that Palace will be confident of causing problems against the division’s worst defence.

Ahead of this evening’s game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has spoken to BBC Sport, and has predicted a 1-1 draw in this evening’s London derby.

Lawrenson noted that Palace are in great form whilst West Ham are struggling, but he thinks that the Hammers will manage to pick up a point at Selhurst Park.

“Crystal Palace are one of the form teams in the country at the moment,” said Lawrenson. “It’s safe to say that West Ham aren’t. Dimitri Payet got the Hammers out of jail against Middlesbrough with that superb solo goal to earn them a point. I think they would be happy with the same result at Selhurst Park,” he added.
