Marco Silva’s Everton are not having a good time in the Premier League at the weekend.
Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has praised Everton owner on Farhad Moshiri BBC Sport.
The former Liverpool defender, who now work as a pundit for BBC Sport, has hailed Moshiri for his support to Everton manager Marco Silva.
Well-known sports news presenter Jim White revealed on talkSPORT earlier this week that Moshiri has told him that Silva will not dismissed despite recent disappointing results and performances.
Lawrenson wrote on BBC Sport: “You have to applaud Everton’s owner Farhad Moshiri for coming out this week and backing Silva but, if they carry on losing, it becomes very difficult to keep doing that.”
Sticking with Marco Silva
Silva is a very good manager, and one can appreciate his playing style and philosophy.
However, Everton need to win matches, and the Merseyside outfit have to put together a run of positive results soon.
True, finishing in the top six of the Premier League this season was never going to be possible for the Toffees this season, but Silva’s side should be competing for the seventh place.
There is still time for Everton to make a push for the seventh place in the Premier League this season.
Everton will take on Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
