West Ham United take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League this evening.
Pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that he thinks West Ham United will draw 1-1 with Crystal Palace in the Premier League this evening.
The Hammers are back in Premier League action after losing 2-0 to Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup on Saturday afternoon, and will be looking for an instant response.
With just one defeat in the last nine Premier League games, West Ham have been in strong form under David Moyes, but face a challenge at the London Stadium tonight.
Moyes is without a host of players due to injury, including star duo Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic, and Crystal Palace will be hoping to take advantage this evening.
The Eagles haven’t played for 10 days since their 4-1 defeat at Arsenal, and will be hoping to get back to winning ways after two Premier League wins a row prior to that Arsenal thrashing.
Roy Hodgson is busy attempting to bring in new signings ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline, but the focus is on the pitch tonight as Palace look to move further away from the relegation zone.
Ahead of the game, pundit Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport that with Palace having time off and West Ham struggling with injuries, the game will end in a 1-1 draw tonight.
“West Ham were well beaten at Wigan in the FA Cup on Saturday, but their form in the Premier League remains strong,” said Lawrenson. “The same goes for Crystal Palace, who are also out of the FA Cup, but whose only league defeats since early November have come home and away against Arsenal.”
“Palace have had nine days off, while Hammers boss David Moyes is struggling a bit for players because of injuries and suspensions – but I still see this one ending up as a closely fought draw,” he added.
