Van Dijk, Mane, Lovren and Lallana all could feature for the Reds, with the four players having previously played for Southampton before switching to the Merseyside outfit.
Liverpool legend Lawrenson has suggested that they will not be received warming by the Southampton faithful at St. Mary’s Stadium this evening.
Lawrenson wrote on BBC Sport: “I wonder what kind of reception Liverpool’s former Southampton players – Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana will get at St Mary’s? I don’t think they will get a very warm welcome, let’s put it that way.”
Tough game for Liverpool
Southampton are in danger of getting relegated from the Premier League at the end of the season, but their recent results and performances have been encouraging.
While Liverpool are doing well and are challenging Manchester City for the Premier League title this season, they have to be at their best in order to pick up three points from the encounter.
Liverpool should be able to win against Southampton this evening.
