The Aston Villa captain and Villa Park academy graduate has been going from strength to strength for Dean Smith and co.

BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson has praised Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish for how he has developed and matured over the years, to the point that an England call-up is looking more and more likely.
In March this year, Gareth Southgate suggested that Grealish needed to be playing in the Premier League to be considered for his England senior debut (The Telegraph), a feat he has achieved as he helped Dean Smith’s side into the Championship playoffs and to Wembley victory.
While it was hoped by some fans that Grealish would have made the cut for England’s last two internationals, against Czech Republic and Bulgaria, the Villa talisman was not called up, so his wait for a maiden Three Lions senior cap continues – for two more weeks at least.
At club level, Grealish has certainly gone from strength to strength, needing a little time to find his feet following promotion but now in superb form, to the point that esteemed stats website WhoScored named him their Premier League Player of the Month for October.

Although Lawrenson believes it will be a tall order for Grealish and Villa against the might of Liverpool this weekend, he was nonetheless complimentary of the 24-year-old on BBC Sport.
If Jack Grealish is back from a calf injury then that will help Dean Smith’s side, but as Liverpool have shown against Manchester United and Tottenham in recent weeks, they are a difficult side to see off,” he wrote.
“Grealish found it tough to make an attacking impact against Manchester City last weekend, and it could be the same story here. But he has gone from being someone with lots of promise to actually being a top player. He has matured too and I am not surprised there is lots of talk about him getting an England call-up.”
