The Stoke City boss does not feel Spurs needed to do much improving this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur take on Stoke City this weekend and will be hoping for a similar to result to the one they picked up the last time they faced off.
Spurs won that fixture 4-0 in a result and performance that finally had fans believing a title win was actually possible.
In the end Spurs capitulated after that win and finished third in the table.

But can they win the league this season? This weekend’s opponent thinks so.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes believes they are title contenders once again and commented on the transfer business done at White Hart Lane in his press conference today:
“I think so (Tottenham will challenge for the title).
“Obviously they haven’t gone into the market quite as much as the other so called big teams, probably because they didn’t think they need to.
“I think they’ve added good quality just to strengthen their overall group. I imagine their management team are happy.”
Some have been critical of Spurs’ transfer market – suggesting they should have done more.

But the arrivals of Victor Wanyama, Vincent Janssen, Pau Lopez, Georges-Kevin N’Koudou and Moussa Sissoko certainly look like shrewd business from Tottenham Hotspur this summer – whilst keeping hold of some of their big stars such as Hugo Lloris, Dele Alli and Harry Kane cannot be underestimated.
Spurs will no doubt be hoping to prove this weekend that they are serious title contenders.
