Rangers sit 21 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, and appear to be closing in on a first trophy under Steven Gerrard.
The Gers weren’t at their best in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Motherwell, but Celtic’s continued poor form means Rangers won’t be too worried.
Will Gerrard bring in any new signings this month? Well, Aberdeen’s Scott Wright is being heavily linked, and there are a couple of other interesting rumours.
The Press Association reported on Thursday that Rangers fancy Coventry City midfielder Gustavo Hamer, who has starred in the Championship having arrived from PEC Zwolle over the summer
Peterborough United winger Siriki Dembele is another Rangers target, with Barry Fry confirming their interest to the Peterborough Telegraph last month.
Both players would be very intriguing additions, full of real potential and quality to enhance the Rangers squad, but it remains to be seen whether the Gers make moves for them.
Now, Rangers legend Mark Hateley has told the Rangers’ Ten10 Podcast, as quoted by Inside Futbol, as saying that he knows Rangers want a couple of players in England.

Hateley seems to have heard some information regarding Rangers’ transfer plans, and whilst he isn’t expecting a lot of movement, he’s heard the Gers are looking down south for new additions.
“I wouldn’t be too surprised if we’re not bringing a lot in, just one or two,” said Hateley. “I think one is good, two…but anything over there, you need to keep that environment we’ve got right now and it’s taken a while to build up.”
“So, one or two players, I know we’re looking at a couple of players down in England, so we’ll see,” he added.
