Mark Bunn has taken to Twitter to send a message to Aston Villa following his release from the promoted Premier League club.

As announced on Villa’s official website earlier this month, Bunn is one of eight players who have been released by the Villans this summer.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper joined Villa in the summer of 2015 on a free transfer.

The former Northampton Town and Blackburn Rovers man was a back-up during his time at Villa Park.

Bunn has taken to Twitter to send a message to Villa, with 28-year-old midfielder Henri Lansbury responding to his message.

Lansbury joined Villa from Nottingham Forest in January 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £2.75 million.

Premier League dream

Villa won the Championship playoff final last month and clinched promotion to the Premier League for the 2019-20 campaign.

Given the Villans’ stature and squad, they will be aiming to break into the top 10 of the Premier League next season.
