Crystal Palace won 2-1 against Southampton in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Crystal Palace jumped to 14th position in the Premier League after winning 2-1 against Southampton at St Mary’s on Tuesday.
The Eagles have now succumbed to just one defeat in 11 games under Roy Hodgson, and earned their first top flight away win against the Saints in 10 attempts.

Former Crystal Palace player Mark Bright took to the social networking site Twitter after the match to express his reaction. He has hailed the result as a “gutsy win” and has praised the players, management, and the fans.
Southampton took the lead early through Shane Long, who scored his first goal in 34 matches. After the break, a switch in formation to 4-4-2 saw Palace creating some very good moves, and got the equaliser through James McArthur, who scored his fifth goal in all competitions this season.

Luka Milivojevic netted the winner from 25 yards (his sixth Premier League goal for Palace) to seal all three points for the visiting team.
The Eagles are now unbeaten in five Premier League away games. They will face Brighton in the FA Cup on Monday.
