Ferran Torres believes Barcelona teammate Pedri is already one of the best players in the world and backs the reported Liverpool transfer target to ‘mark an era’, via quotes by AS.
Pedri has gone from strength to strength since breaking through at the Camp Nou in 2020 and is now a firm first-team fixture. Xavi Hernandez had to wait to work with the 19-year-old after the midfielder suffered a relapse in his recovery from a thigh injury in November.

Pedri has amassed four goals and an assist over the youngster’s 19 appearances so far this season across all competitions. He also made his 11th and 12th outings for Spain over the March break after debuting a year ago. Of his caps, nine have also come in starting roles.
It was no wonder, then, that Barcelona sought to secure Pedri’s future with a new contract last year. The Catalan giants tied him down to 2026 in October, with a deal also containing a €1bn (£832m) release clause. Surely enough to see his suitors shy from a possible move.
