The Rangers director of football is looking to add to Steven Gerrard’s squad at Ibrox.

Rangers will strengthen their squad if an opportunity arises during the January transfer window, Mark Allen has revealed.
Recent reports claim Steven Gerrard could try to bring as many as four new faces to Ibrox, as Rangers look to compete in three competitions post-Christmas.
And speaking via the Rangers Youth Development Company’s official Twitter account on Wednesday, Allen confirmed the Gers are keeping their eyes peeled.
“It’s important that recruitment never stops whether it’s January or the summer,” said the Ibrox director of football. “We are constantly looking to improve with every window of opportunity.
“I think it’s fair to say that most of our activity will take place in the summer window. But if an opportunity arises where we can strengthen in January we will do so.”
Allen, though, failed to provide a response when asked if any of Rangers’ on loan players could remain in Glasgow beyond the end of their current spells.
Rangers borrowed five players – Joe Worrall, Ovie Ejaria, Ryan Kent, Lassana Coulibaly and Umar Sadiq – from various clubs in the summer transfer window, on contracts that run until the end of the campaign.
At that point, Worrall and Sadiq will enter the final year of their deals at Nottingham Forest and AS Roma respectively.
Coulibaly has an extra 12 months to run on his Amiens contract, while Ejaria and Kent have recently committed their long-term futures to Liverpool.
