Some Glasgow Rangers players are thought to be attracting attention, but Mark Allen has insisted that no-one is close to leaving Ibrox.

In comments reported by The Scottish Sun, Mark Allen has insisted that Rangers are yet to receive a single offer for any of their players this month, and hinted that they are not planning to allow any of the squad that Steven Gerrard is working with to leave.
It has been a fantastic January window for the Gers so far. The club have completed four signings, with Jermain Defoe and Steven Davis joining on loan, and Jordan Jones and Glen Kamara agreeing pre-contract deals ahead of the summer.
Losing any important players would potentially take some of the gloss off of what is already threatening to become a defining month in the club’s recent history.
The Scottish Sun reports that Lee Wallace and Ross McCrorie are wanted by Bristol City and Swansea City respectively, while Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier are apparently attracting attention.

But director of football Allen has insisted that none of the important players are anywhere near edging towards the exit right now.

There will be some members of the squad that Gerrard would probably like to move on. Carlos Pena is arguably the obvious example, with Gerrard providing no public hint that suggests that the Mexican will get another chance to play for the Gers again.
But Rangers have a lot of momentum right now following the acquisitions of Defoe and Davis. And Gerrard will be aware that any first-team player leaving this month could set them back slightly as they look to make a charge for the Scottish Premiership title.
