Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool reportedly want Matthijs de Ligt of Ajax.

The former Ajax and Chelsea right-back believes that the 19-year-old central defender will be a great partner for Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool are interested in signing De Ligt in the summer of 2019.
Former Netherlands international right-back Melchiot said about De Ligt on talkSPORT: “Now, the way he’s playing right now, I think if Liverpool were smart they’ll go after him. De Ligt and Van Dijk, those two together would be a great partnership.”
Good signing for Liverpool?
De Ligt is one of the best young central defenders in the world, and the 19-year-old has been superb for Ajax this season, both in the Eredivisie and in the Champions League.
In Europe, the Netherlands international has played with a maturity and self-conviction that has stunned many onlookers.

Van Dijk is one of the best central defenders in the world, and the Dutchman playing alongside his compatriot De Ligt for Liverpool can only make Jurgen Klopp’s side even better than they already are at the back.
According to WhoScored, De Ligt has scored three goals and provided one assist in 31 Eredivisie appearances for Ajax, and one goal and in nine Champions League matches this season.
