Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Juventus forward.

According to a report from the Telegraph, Everton are keen on signing Mario Mandzukic, and he could be the absolutely perfect addition for the Merseyside outfit.

Marco Silva seems to be building a very impressive squad at Goodison Park, but it could be argued that the only position that they are really short in is the centre-forward department.

And the Croatian international could be just the ticket for the Toffees.

Everton fans will be expecting their club to make a sustained push for the top six next season, but they must add an established forward to their ranks, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of doing just that.

Target man

The 33-year-old is well-versed in holding up the ball with his back to goal, and bringing others into play. This would see him work really well if flanked by the likes of Richarlison, Bernard and Theo Walcott.

Impressive goal record

Mandzukic has racked up 221 goals in 565 games for club and country. That translates into a goal every 2.5 games. He is a wonderful finisher and possesses exceptional technique.

Experience

The Juventus hitman is vastly experienced in playing at the very highest level, having earned 89 international caps for Croatia and won nine league titles with three different clubs.

And that kind of know-how and winning mentality would surely be a major asset for Everton.

Quite how much it will take to prise the Croatian way from Turin remains to be seen, but Marco Silva must do all he can to tempt Juventus into selling nonetheless.
