Martin Keown has said on talkSPORT (12:43pm, September 24, 2021) that Manchester City star Jack Grealish has to step up his game against Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea at Stamford Bridge today.

Chelsea will take on City in London in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.

England international attacking midfielder Grealish, signed from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, is likely to start for the defending English champions.

Arsenal legend Keown believes that Grealish could be a key player for City today.

Keown said on talkSPORT (12:43pm, September 24, 2021): “It’s a massive game, and I think Grealish is gonna have to be, this could be the weekend that Grealish turns up and proves maybe they do not need a centre-forward. Because Lukaku is already sailing away as great signing this summer.”

Big game for Jack Grealish

Grealish cost City £100 million in the summer transfer window and has done relatively well for the Citizens so far this season.

The 26-year-old has scored one goal and provided one assist in five Premier League games.

The England international, who can also play as a winger, has scored one goal and given one assist in one Champions League match.

Grealish is not a goalscorer, but he is a very creative player who can cause havoc.

The way City play, they do create a lot of chances, and Grealish will be a key player in that.

Grealish could make a real statement of intent today if he starts and destroys the Chelsea defence.
