Rangers have a star Croatian left back in Borna Barisic, but they may well have another one lined up for a future move to Ibrox.
Barisic has bounced back from a tricky first season at Ibrox to become a mainstay of Steven Gerrard’s side, with his attacking play earning huge plaudits.
Barisic is now 28 and may fancy taking the next step in 2021, meaning Rangers would be wise to consider potential replacements just in case he does go.
Now, Gorica left back Marijan Cabraja has been quoted by the Daily Record as saying ‘it is true’ that Rangers want to sign him.
Cabraja claims that contact has been established, and it all depends on whether Barisic stays at Ibrox or move on in 2021.
Cabraja doesn’t believe that Rangers will pay what Gorica want, with agent Miroslav Bicanic adding that there is huge interest in Cabraja from Italy, Poland, Russia and the United States.

The 23-year-old came up through the Dinamo Zagreb ranks, but left for Gorica in 2018, where he has impressed with three goals and seven assists in 76 games.
Rangers have used the Croatian market on a number of occasions, with Barisic and Nikola Katic bigger successes than Eros Grezda – and they may hope Cabraja can become another success story at Ibrox.
