Tavernier was one of a number of players who were brilliant on the day. The right-back kept Scott Sinclair incredibly quiet and still managed to provide an attacking threat, linking up superbly with Daniel Candeias throughout the game.
It was arguably one of Tavernier’s best ever performances for the Gers, particularly since he took the captain’s armband, and his brother sent him a message on social media to congratulate him on the victory.
