Marcus Rashford carried his form from the international break into club action, starring in Barcelona’s 6-0 demolition of Valencia with a standout performance.

The international break was a mixed bag for Rashford. Thomas Tuchel had some concerns after the first match but later praised his response in the second.

The British winger has something to prove this season if he wants Barcelona to make his loan deal permanent, but his form had dipped before the break.

Returning from international duty, Rashford wasted no time reminding everyone what he is capable of. The win over Valencia was not just about the scoreline, it was about moments that put an exclamation point on the performance and put him back in front of fans who needed to see it again.

When a team wins 6-0, it is safe to say the attackers had a good day.

Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez and Raphinha each scored twice. It was a strong showing across the board.

Even though Rashford did not get on the scoresheet, his assist for Raphinha stood out as one of the match’s best moments.

The goal came in the 53rd minute when Barcelona were still only 1-0 up.

Rashford picked up the ball out wide and played a perfect pass that cut through seven Valencia players.

Raphinha was left with a simple finish just three yards out, putting Barcelona 2-0 ahead and kicking off their run of goals.

Rashford led the game with three chances created and looked lively throughout his 68 minutes on the pitch.

Spanish media react to Marcus Rashford’s Barcelona performance

Rashford has made a strong impression in Spain. While his stats are not spectacular, his work rate stands out, and that was on display again against Valencia.

AS called Rashford’s cross for Raphinha “delightful,” noting that his desire to make things happen for the team was clear.

The Spanish outlet also shared a video of the assist, describing it as a “wonder” piece of play and crediting the Briton for creating something out of nothing.

Meanwhile, Marca highlighted both Rashford and Lewandowski as key players who put pressure on Valencia throughout the match, which is notable given that Rashford did not score himself.

Mundo Deportivo also spoke positively about Rashford’s “great pass,” adding that he appears to be settling into the league and connecting well with teammates, an encouraging sign for Barcelona fans.
