Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford put rivalries aside last night and praised Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero on Twitter.

City announced that Aguero would be leaving the club at the end of the season yesterday.

And Rashford suggested that the City striker ranks up among the very finest Premier League strikers ever.

Rashford also said that if he could pick any player to have in his side, he would like to play alongside Kevin de Bruyne.

Even United fans will surely struggle to disagree with Rashford’s analysis, despite the obvious rivalry between the two sides.

Aguero will go down as a City legend, and his goalscoring record puts him in an elite group of Premier League strikers.

City have already confirmed that they will build a statue of Aguero upon his departure, which the Argentine fully deserves for what has been a remarkable career in England.
