Marcus Rashford has reacted on his Instagram story to Leeds United signing Daniel James from Manchester United.
The England forward posted ‘My guy good luck’ as James has signed a deal until 2026, according to Leeds’ official website.
Rashford wasn’t the only one reacting to this news because David de Gea also posted on his Instagram story ‘wish you all the best’.
This move is two years in the making because Leeds could have or should have secured his talents when they were in the Championship.
Back then, a well-documented move from Swansea City collapsed at the last minute, but Marcelo Bielsa now has his man two and a half years later.
It’s pretty obvious that James’ pace will add to the growing firepower that Leeds can unleash on opposition defences.
From Patrick Bamford’s quick-thinking movement inside the penalty area, Raphinia’s trickery out on the right and James’ direct style on the other flank, this will no doubt elevate this Leeds team.
Plus, the Welshman’s arrival has added some much-needed depth to Leeds’ forward line because as fans will know, Marcelo Bielsa doesn’t like playing with a big group of players.
But the Whites will have to wait until they can watch James’ talents out on that Elland Road turf.
Like many players, he will link up with Wales ahead of their World Cup qualifiers, which will take place these next 10 or so days.
