The Peterborough United winger has been watching the Netflix documentary about Sunderland.

Marcus Maddison’s Instagram story update has worked some Sunderland fans into a frenzy.
The Peterborough United – and former Newcastle United – winger has been one of League One’s stand out performers in recent years, scoring or assisting 96 goals in 169 games at that level.
And Sunderland are among the clubs credited with interest throughout that time (Daily Mail).
But the Mackems aren’t the only ones to whom a move for Maddison may appeal, after the 25-year-old confessed to having a childhood allegiance to the Wearside club ahead of Peterborough’s game at Accrington on Saturday.
And this is what Sunderland fans are saying about Maddison’s revelation on Twitter…
Sunderland are not exactly short in Maddison’s position, although with Aiden McGeady and Chris Maguire either in or approaching their thirties and Lynden Gooch out of contract next summer, alternatives may be sought in the coming transfer windows.

Jack Ross’s side, who are rivalling Peterborough for promotion this season, could be set for a £3.5 million windfall from Didier Ndong’s imminent move to Guingamp.
Should Sunderland move for Maddison in January?
