Former Ibrox striker Marcus Gayle has suggested to talkSPORT that new Rangers signing Joe Aribo will play in the Premier League in two to three years’ time.

Rangers signed Aribo on a free transfer this summer after the midfielder’s departure from Charlton Athletic at the end of last season.

Gayle played for Rangers in 2001 and managed the 22-year-old midfielder at Staines Town, and he has spoken highly of the youngster.

Gayle told talkSPORT about Aribo: “I can see within two or three years, he’ll play in the Premier League, no doubt. He’s got that left foot, he goes past people, he’s creative and he’s a box-to-box player.

“How many left-footed players do you see like that at the moment? You don’t see that many with that quality. Joe is a rare asset at the moment.

“He’s got the opportunities to sharpen those skills and tools to further his dream of playing in the top-flight in England.”

Good signing for Rangers?

Aribo is a very good and promising young midfielder who is very dynamic and is hungry for success.

Rangers have done well to secure the services of the 22-year-old on a free transfer, and the youngster could prove to a very good acquisition for the Gers in years to come.

If Aribo plays well for Rangers, then he will attract the attention of big clubs in England, and the Glasgow giants could then cash in on him and earn a lot of money in transfer fees.
