Tottenham wonderkid excited after his debut display.
Tottenham’s Marcus Edwards in action against Alex Sandro of Juventus
Tottenham Hotspur wonderkid Marcus Edwards is thankful for the support from fans after making his debut this week.
Edwards has impressed in the youth teams for Tottenham and England over the last two seasons, and came off the bench for the final couple of minutes.
The 17-year-old dazzled when he was given a chance in pre-season, and in just limited time in the 5-0 win over Gillingham, he managed to delight the fans who had attended hoping to catch a glimpse of him in action.

Edwards was delighted to make his debut, and sent supporters a message via Twitter thanking them for their kind words.
Edwards had played an under-23 game for Spurs just two days earlier against Liverpool, and was never really in the reckoning to play meaningful time against Gillingham, but his brief cameo was all he needed.
It may be a while before Spurs fans see him again, with Mauricio Pochettino keen not to rush the youngster, and a tough away fixture against Liverpool drawn in the next round.
