Mauricio Pochettino has rewarded a number of his young players with squad numbers for the 2016-17 season.

Tottenham Hotspur have allocated their squad numbers ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, and it is group of players strongly represented by a group of young players who may make their debuts over the next 12 months.
The majority of squad numbers regarding the first-team players have not been adjusted, but there are as many as 10 potential debutants on the list of players that have received a number, many of whom were involved with Mauricio Pochettino’s preseason.

Standout starlets such as Marcus Edwards (48), Cameron Carter-Vickers (38) and Shayon Harrison (39) are involved, after impressing in friendlies in Australia and Norway.
Goalkeepers Luke McGee (31), Tom Glover (40) and Alfie Whiteman (41), defenders Anton Walkes (45) and Kyle Walker-Peters (37), and midfielders Will Miller (47) and Luke Amos (46) are the others given numbers between 31 and 48.

Several of this group made the matchday squad at one point or other over the last year, meaning they have received squad numbers before, but there are a large group who have been bumped up to the fringes of the first team.
Pochettino is famously happy working with and developing talented youngsters, and for several years now Tottenham have been adept at bringing academy players into the first team and even into the England side, with the likes of Steven Caulker, Jake Livermore and Andros Townsend leading the way for Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Tom Carroll.
It is very likely this will continue to be the case under Pochettino, and that from this list of 10 debutants to come will be another exciting Tottenham talent.
