Leeds United-owned Blackburn Rovers star Marcus Antonsson has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a message following the end of his loan spell at Ewood Park.

Antonsson, who can operate as a striker or as a winger, joined Blackburn on a season-long loan deal from Leeds in the summer of 2017.

The 26-year-old has been a success at Rovers, as the Swede has scored seven goals in 22 League One appearances for Tony Mowbray’s side.

Blackburn have had a successful season, as they have finished second in the League One table and have earned automatic promotion to the Championship for the 2018-19 campaign.

Antonsson, who earns £6000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star, has taken to Twitter to send a message as he prepares to leave Blackburn following the end of his loan spell, and Leeds fans have responded by stating that they want him back.

Antonsson joined Leeds from Kalmar FF in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Post to be worth £2 million.

The 26-year-old striker failed to make a major impact at Elland Road during the 2016-17 campaign, as he scored just one goal in 16 Championship appearances for the West Yorkshire outfit.
