Marcus Antonsson left Leeds United on loan this past summer.

On-loan Leeds United striker Marcus Antonsson has told The Lancashire Telegraph that he hasn’t been happy with his Blackburn Rovers performances this season.
The 26-year-old swapped Leeds for League One side Blackburn in a season-long loan last month after it became evident that he would struggle for regular football under Thomas Christiansen this season.
The Swedish attacker, who managed one Championship goal in 16 games last term under Garry Monk, had gone three games for Rovers without a goal, but opened his account in Saturday’s 3-0 win away to Rochdale to alleviate some pressure on him

Nevertheless, the former Kalmar marksman, who cost Leeds £2 million, claims that he has been disappointed by his own standard since leaving the Whites in August.
“I haven’t been happy with my performances, I have been looking for my confidence in the games and in training,” he told The Lancashire Telegraph.
“It was a while ago that I played competitive games and now I have done that, but I still feel that I have so much more to give.”

It does not appear as if Antonsson has a great chance of returning to United next summer after his stint at Ewood Park is complete – and they might not need him.
Leeds are flying under Christiansen as the Yorkshire club sit second in the Championship and still unbeaten after six games – four wins, two draws.
The 5-0 win over Burton Albion on Saturday, in which new striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored twice, was a ruthless demonstration of their potential.
If Antonsson isn’t good enough for the Championship, he won’t be good enough for the Premier League and that’s where they think they’re heading.
