Pontus Jansson, on loan from Torino, has been included in the Blagult squad to take on the Netherlands in a World Cup qualifier next month.

Nowever, one Leeds player was left disappointed.
Striker Marcus Antonsson had hoped to receive his first call-up this week. The striker had good reason to. He was the top scorer in Swedish football at Kalmar prior to his Sweden move and has impressed since making the switch to England.
However, he has been overlooked.

Speaking to Expressen in his homeland yesterday the Leeds striker had this to say regarding missing out to John Guidetti, Marcus Berg, Emir Kujovic and Christoffer Nyman:
“Yes, of course I’m disappointed. It would be the wrong approach if I was not.
“I have performed for a long time, leading scorer and league points when I left the Allsvenskan and have continued to deliver.
“Of course I’m disappointed.”

The striker clearly feels he is ready for international selection, but Leeds fans might suggest he still needs some fine-tuning.
There is no doubt he has ability and, on top of that, he is clearly a hard-worker – a facet of his game and personality that has already earned him fans in the Yorkshire support.
If he continues to work hard at Leeds then the Sweden call-up is surely not far down the line.
