The 31-year-old goalkeeper coach is very excited to get started.

It has been a week of change at Leeds United, with the appointment of new manager Thomas Christiansen. The Danish-born former Spanish international was previously at APOEL Nicosia and has brought in his own staff to work with the club.
One of the new faces to arrive at the club is Marcos Abad. The former Middlesbrough and Elche goalkeeping coach has now taken up the role at Elland Road and is clearly excited about the prospect of working at such a historic club.
The 31-year-old shared his joy with this post on his official website this week. Abad wrote:
“A new illusion has been awakened with my joining a historic club in England such as Leeds United FC. The opportunity to continue growing with a spectacular club.
Thomas Christiansen
“In a week, will start this new adventure with great professionals who have trusted in me. I will try to give it all and I promise a lot of work for help Leeds and its fans become at the top of English football.
“LEEDS, LEEDS, LEEDS!!!”
Leeds Utd’s Rob Green applauds fans after the match
It will certainly be interesting to see how Abad gets on as the goalkeeper coach at Leeds, He may improve the all-round game of young talents like Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Will Huffer. However, he is six years younger than current number one Rob Green and does not have the professional pedigree of the former England international.
Leeds United are going through a transition this summer and hopefully Abad and the rest of his new recruits can settle quickly and take Leeds up the Championship table.
