Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri would find it hard to get playing time next season.
Marco Silvestri lost his place in the Leeds United starting lineup last season. Robert Green arrived at Elland Road in the summer of 2016, and the 37-year-old soon established himself as the first choice between the posts.
Silvestri failed to make a single appearance in the Championship last season. The 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper played four League Cup matches and two FA Cup games in 2016-17.
The former Italy Under-21 international was probably hoping to compete with Green for the goalkeeping spot in the Leeds starting lineup next season, but it now seems that he could be the third-choice custodian.

Leeds have just competed the signing of Felix Wiedwald from Werder Bremen. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has arrived at Elland Road with a strong reputation, having enjoyed a good 2016-17 season in the Bundesliga.
The former Germany Under-20 international would not have joined the Whites had he not been certain of at least being given the chance to play regularly.
Leeds also have Bailey Peacock-Farrell on their books. The 20-year-old is a very talented and promising young player, and manager Thomas Christiansen could be looking to play him from time to time next season.
Silvestri is a good goalkeeper, and it would make sense for the Italian to leave Leeds in the summer transfer window.
Having wasted the 2016-17 campaign warming the substitutes’ bench, it would not make much sense for the 26-year-old to waste yet another season, as he would not get much playing time with Green and Wiedwald ahead of him in the pecking order.
