The Everton midfielder missed a penalty against Watford on Monday night.

Everton boss Marco Silva spoke to reporters after Monday night’s draw with Watford at Goodison Park, and responded when asked whether he will take Gylfi Sigurdsson off penalty duties, as quoted by the Irish Times.
The Iceland international has missed two out of his last three spot kicks, and Monday night’s miss ended up costing the Toffees a valuable three points.
Everton currently sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, two points adrift of sixth placed Manchester United, and many are tipping them to push the Red Devils all the way in the race for sixth this season.
Sigurdsson himself has played a key role for the Blues this season, and he is beginning to show why Everton paid £45 million to bring him to Merseyside in the summer of 2017.
He has missed two out of his last three penalties, however, and Silva responded when asked by reporters whether he will take the 29-year-old off spot-kick duties, as quoted by the Irish Times:

“Let’s see what will be my decision. If I change something our players will know first. It doesn’t make sense if I tell you tonight.”
Next up for Everton is a trip to Manchester City on Saturday, and it will be interesting to see what happens if they get awarded another penalty.
Sigurdsson has actually been in excellent form this season, so it will be a difficult decision to make for Silva.
