Everton beat West Ham 2-0 away from home on Saturday evening.

Everton boss Marco Silva has told The Telegraph that he thinks goals are coming for ‘improving’ striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The Toffees went away to West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, and were looking for another positive result having beaten Chelsea 2-0 before the international break.

It turned out to be a dominant display from Everton, with Kurt Zouma and Bernard scoring in the first half to clinch another 2-0 win for Silva’s side.

With four clean sheets in five, Everton are starting to show some promise under Silva, though summer additions are expected, especially in attack.

Another striker may well be signed, but Calvert-Lewin will surely be seeing out the season as Everton’s main striker after some promising displays of late.

The 22-year-old has picked up two goals in his last five games, making the striker spot his own having impressed with hard work, aerial ability and link-up play.

Calvert-Lewin could have had more goals though, and Silva has now urged him to be more clinical with his end product, even though he is improving and developing.

Silva isn’t too fussed whether Calvert-Lewin scores or not as long as he’s playing well, but predicted that goals are coming soon for the forward as he continues to thrive.

“He is improving, he is growing and developing as a football player,” said Silva. “I am happy because he is helping the team. He didn’t score against West Ham but he helped again with a good performance. In other moments he could have been more clinical, like our team, but I am really happy with him.

“Sometimes when you play with one striker he does not score but he can help the team in a different way, making one or two assists. It’s not because he scores or not. When I say to him ‘more clinical’ it’s sometimes the last decision, the last pass. Even if he does not score, [finding] the best solution for the team in the right moment. He has many things I like in a striker. He knows what I expect from him, to keep working hard, to keep developing. The goals will come for him, for sure,” he added.
